Kiwanis is a global group of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child & one community at a time.
Through guidance and example, Kiwanis works everyday around the world to develop future generations of leaders. Kiwanis is a thriving organization, with community minded men and woman who are revitalizing neighborhoods, building playgrounds, feeding the hungry and supporting children and young adults.
We believe the most effective way to enhance a community, is to enhance its children. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed, great things will happen!

Kiwanis High Noon Ongoing Projects
1. Terrific Kids Program
Terrific Kids is a Kiwanis sponsored student recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem, and perseverance among elementary school children.
TERRIFIC is an acronym meaning:
Thoughtful Enthusiastic Respectful Responsible Inclusive Friendly Inquisitive Capable
High Noon runs the Terrific Kids Program at Pearson Road Elementary school in Kelowna, with more schools hopefully to join the program in 2008 / 2009.
2. Adopt a Road
Every six months, the High Noon Club rallies an army of volunteers and hits the streets geared up with gloves and garbage bags. Six blocks by Mission Creek Park are left litter free after these servant hearted volunteers clean it up. Almost 3000 children from the Okanagan compete in this annual festival which culminates with a Gala performance at Kelwona Community Theatre with tickets at only $10 each. This year's show is on Saturday May 4th.
3. Kelowna Kiwanis Music Festival
Every April Kiwanis sponsors the Kelowna Music Festival to provide an opportunity for amateur and young performing artists to demonstrate their achievements in Music, Dance and Speech Arts. Performances are professionally evaluated in a constructive and positive manner.
